The League of Women Voters of Dakota County is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences policy through education and advocacy. On January 10th LWV Minneapolis and LWV St. Paul, in conjunction with Saint Paul Neighborhood Network, hosted a panel discussion regarding human and sex trafficking in Minnesota. Panelists included John Choi (Ramsey County Attorney), Terry Forliti (Executive Director, Breaking Free), Sgt. Nikkole Peterson (St. Paul Police Department), Ed Heisler (Co-Executive Director, Men As Peacemakers), and Lorena Pinto (Program Director, Family Partnership PRIDE Program).
