The League of Women Voters of Dakota County is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences policy through education and advocacy. A special election will be held Tuesday, May 8 for voters within Independent School District 197 (West St. Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan) to vote on authorizing the issuance of up to $117 million in general obligation bonds for construction, maintenance, and remodeling of district facilities. More information is available on our Voter Resources page and ISD 197's website. Open houses will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. March 6, March 12, and April 12 at Henry Sibley High School with district representatives available to answer questions about the proposed building projects.
