Minutes (not available yet) Meeting Summary: After new employee introductions, two presentations took place.

Agenda item 6.1 regarding the CSAH70 expansion project was an update to the County Board. An open house is expected to be held in June or July 2019. Changes, updates on signage for detours, and businesses affected by this project were discussed.

Agenda item 6.2 regarding the CP 78-10 project in Castle Rock was reviewed. Maps showing changes and concerns about Castle Rock feeling engaged were discussed and it was agreed that everyone was involved and supportive of the end goal. Commissioner Slavik relayed conversations he has had with key Castle Rock individuals.

Updated CMAL Position on Met Council Governance Released

The Council of Metropolitan Area Leagues (CMAL) recently completed its consensus study on Metropolitan Council governance and adopted a revised position based on the votes cast by members of 19 LWV chapters within the seven-county metro area. The press release is available here and the new policy position is available here. The position supports a governor-appointed Met Council with members serving fixed, staggered terms.

City of Randolph Special Election - April 9

The City of Randolph will hold a special election on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, to fill a vacancy on its City Council and elect a new City Treasurer. You may view a sample ballot here.
