LWV of Minnesota’s Convention 2019 will be held April 27-28 in St. Paul. LWV of Dakota County has been allotted four voting delegates and four Leadership Team members will be attending. In order to best represent our membership as a whole, we would like to receive any input members have to offer regarding matters that will be discussed and voted upon at the convention.

There are proposed changes to LWV of Minnesota’s Program for Action regarding civics education, firearms, money in politics, and voting systems. There are substantial proposed changes to LWV of Minnesota’s Bylaws and there is a report regarding the proposed changes. Delegates will vote on LWV Minnesota’s proposed budget for FY2020-FY2021. Delegates will also vote on individuals nominated to serve on the LWV Minnesota Board of Directors from 2019-2021.

Please email us with feedback you have for our delegates regarding any of those matters. If you are interested in attending the convention, you may register here. The registration fee is $225.
