At our January 2020 meeting we heard from Dakota County Board Chair Mike Slavik (District 1) regarding a recent proposal to extract large quantities of groundwater from Dakota County for commercial resale in other states. Commissioner Slavik discussed a range of issues regarding Dakota County groundwater and discussed potential approaches to addressing similar proposals in the future.
