Meeting Materials

Minutes Meeting Summary: There was discussion about scheduling special meetings of the committee on April 23 and May 21 to receive updates from the County's legislative workgroup, discuss developments from the 2019 legislative session, and review the status of the County's legislative priorities.

There was a lengthy discussion that was very difficult to hear related to a resolution supporting the Great River Rail capital funding proposal at the state legislature. Passenger Rail studies and analysis were discussed. Track and signal improvements are expected. Apparently Gov. Walz has recommended a capital funding request to the state legislature to support a number of rail projects including the Twin Cities-Milwaukee-Chicago Second Train.
