Minutes Meeting Summary: There were introductions of several new employees within the Public Health Department.

A thorough presentation was made by Michelle related to Public Health Informatics. The vision and strategy for effective use of health informatics in Dakota County was presented. Additional information can be found starting on page 39 of the agenda under item 6.1. There appeared to be a focus on workforce skills when using information technology. There was also an emphasis on well designed and effective systems which was discussed during the Q&A.

The Community Services Director discussed the use of healthcare hotspotting within the County's managed care contracts. An application for a Kresge and Pathways Grant was announced.
