Absentee Voting Begins for School District Elections

Absentee voting began today, September 20, for the school board elections in ISDs 196, 197, 199, and 200, as well as for the operating levy and capital bond referenda in ISD 194 and the operating levy referendum in ISD 196. To view your ballot go to myballotmn.sos.state.mn.us.


Voters in any of the following school districts may obtain and cast an absentee ballot during normal business hours at Dakota County's Administration Center in Hastings, Western Service Center in Apple Valley, or Northern Service Center in West St. Paul. Voters in the following districts may also obtain and cast an absentee ballot at their respective location during normal business hours:

Overseas voters may instead apply for an absentee ballot via this website. If you plan to vote on election day, November 5, find your polling place here. Polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on election day. If you need to register or re-register, most voters can do so online up until 20 days before election day. Voters may also register to vote at the same time as requesting an absentee ballot application, even if doing so within 20 days of the general election. Voters casting their ballots in person on election day may also register to vote at their polling place.
