Dakota County will accept comments regarding its draft 2040 Comprehensive Plan until October 1. Copies of the draft are available at the information desk of each Dakota County Library, except Galaxie Library due to its renovation. A variety of documents, presentations, and maps regarding the draft 2040 Comprehensive Plan are available here. However, note that this information appears to have not been updated for several months. A summary of public input solicited thus far is available here. There are several ways to share comments. You can send your input to planning@co.dakota.mn.us, you can fill out and submit this survey, or you can speak with County representatives at one of three public events:
Saturday, July 21, from 3 – 7 p.m. at International Festival of Burnsville, Nicollet Commons Park, 12550 Nicollet Ave, Burnsville
Wednesday, August 1, from 3 - 6 p.m. at Robert Trail Library 14395 S Robert Trl, Rosemount
Wednesday, August 8, from 3 - 6 p.m. at the Dakota County Fair in the Natural Resources Building, 4008 220th St W, Farmington.
