The Dakota County Board of Commissioners has scheduled a special meeting pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 216G.05 for Monday, September 19, at 5 p.m. for the purpose of informing the public about a Flint Hills Resources pipeline project. The meeting will be held in the council chambers at Rosemount City Hall.

The project will involve the construction of a 1.6 mile pipeline carrying anhydrous ammonia from CF Industries to the southeast corner of Pine Bend Refinery in Rosemount, near the junction of U.S. 52 and State Highway 55. Anhydrous ammonia is a necessary component to producing ammonium thiosulfate (ATS), which is used in some agricultural fertilizer products. Flint Hills Resources anticipates that pipeline construction will start in 2022 and continue through the spring or summer of 2023. More information is available within this packet containing a map, notice, information book, and Public Utilities Commission (PUC) order, and here from the PUC.

Last Wednesday was LWV Dakota County's candidate forum for the position of County Attorney, where candidates Kathy Keena, Elizabeth Lamin, Matt Little, and Jeff Sheridan shared their answers to questions you submitted. The forum is now available on YouTube for you to watch at your convenience.
