Coalition Seeking Volunteers for 1-Day Event to Register Voters and Drive Turnout at Mass Transit Lo

The Minnesota Secretary of State's Office, Metro Transit, and a number of organizations including local leagues are recruiting volunteers for a 1-day effort to register voters at major transit stops and drive turnout in the general election on Saturday, September 22. Volunteers will need to attend a webinar training hosted by LWV Minnesota on Sunday, September 16, from 1:30 - 3 p.m. Please register for that training no later than noon September 15 using this form. You can register for the event itself using this form.

There will be two volunteer shifts, from 12:45 - 2:45 p.m., and from 2:15 - 4:15 p.m. Volunteers will be provided voter registration forms and stickers for the event, but are asked to bring their own clipboards and pens. The full list of locations where volunteers will be stationed hasn't been released yet, but to the best of our knowledge they will be located within Minneapolis, St. Paul, Roseville, and Maplewood. Please direct any questions to Melanie Hazelip with the MN Let People Vote Coalition at mlhazelip@gmail.com. You can view the Facebook event page here.
